Alaa Bakr Maghrabi
Senior Consultant, Head of Robotics Lab
Alaa Bakr Maghrabi is a seasoned roboticist with over five years of experience specializing in the development of actuators and robotic actuation models. Holding both bachelor’s and master’s degrees from EPFL in Switzerland, Alaa has honed advanced technical skills in robotics. His career includes significant work at Japan’s ATR research center, focusing on controlling humanoid robots with advanced methods like reinforcement learning and central pattern generators.
Spyros Souipas
Robotics Engineer
Spyros Souipas is a Robotics Engineer with a background in novel robot design and control, with a specialization in haptic systems for high accuracy motion. With a PhD in medical robotics from Imperial College, Spyros has developed and programmed various prototypes for robotic surgery, focusing on localization and path planning for precise operation. His focus has now shifted on locomotion using reinforcement learning algorithms for quadrupedal robots.
